Explore Edge TheoryHow Edge Theory Works
Edge Theory connects trader development with EdgeCapital, so the work you do learning, practising and reviewing your trading can sit within the same ecosystem as structured evaluation.
You can enter EdgeCapital directly when eligible. Or use the wider Edge Theory environment to develop before deciding you're ready.
EdgeCapital evaluation activity uses simulated balances, orders, positions and execution. Eligibility and current programme rules apply.

A connected system, not a compulsory qualification ladder.
The system
Not every trader needs the same thing at the same time.
Someone learning risk management has a different need from someone reviewing months of trading evidence. And someone who already believes their process is ready may want to go directly to structured evaluation.
Edge Theory is designed so those stages can exist within one environment without pretending every trader must follow the same route.
01 / DEVELOP
Development starts before an order exists. Learn the concepts, prepare the market and inspect the context around the decision.
What this stage creates
A reasoned trading idea with context behind it.
02 / PRACTISE & RECORD
EdgeCharts lets you practise against real market data using simulated balances, orders, positions and execution. TradeRank keeps the reasoning and activity available for later review.
What this stage creates
Reviewable evidence instead of a result remembered through hindsight.
Practice balances, orders, positions and execution are simulated. No customer order is sent to an exchange.
03 / REVIEW & DEVELOP
A result tells you what happened. Review helps you examine how it happened.
What this stage creates
A specific weakness, behaviour or process decision to work on next.
04 / STRUCTURE
Free practice and structured participation create different pressures. Edge Theory Competitions give eligible traders another environment in which simulated results, risk and consistency can be measured under published rules.
What this stage creates
More evidence about how you operate when performance is measured within a defined structure.
Competition results do not prove live trading ability or guarantee EdgeCapital eligibility or progression.

You decide when to pursue evaluation
Development is available. Qualification is not automatic.
Development does not automatically qualify you for EdgeCapital.
EdgeScore does not qualify you. Competition results do not qualify you. Membership does not guarantee progression.
EdgeCapital has its own current eligibility requirements and published rules.
If you meet those requirements and believe you're ready, EdgeCapital is where your trading enters structured evaluation.
05 / EVALUATE
EdgeCapital is a separate simulated evaluation pathway. The mechanics are clear, while eligibility and progression remain governed by the current published programme.
Select an EdgeCapital evaluation for which you meet the current eligibility requirements.
Review the rules that apply to that evaluation before beginning.
Complete the current purchase, identity and activation requirements.
Trade within the simulated EdgeCapital evaluation environment.
Your activity is measured against the requirements governing that evaluation.
Progress according to the current published EdgeCapital programme when the applicable requirements are satisfied.
EdgeCapital evaluations use simulated balances, orders, positions and execution. Evaluation participation does not guarantee progression, funding, payouts or profitability.
The Edge Theory ecosystem
Development, structured experience and evaluation are connected by a decision and eligibility gateway.

What this looks like in practice
BEFORE TRADING
Review what you're working on. Prepare the markets worth your attention. Inspect the context around the plan.
DURING PRACTICE
Execute your own decision in simulation. Preserve the reasoning and activity.
AFTER
Look at more than whether it won or lost. Examine the decision, risk and execution.
WITH OTHERS
Take useful questions, recurring behaviour and lessons into Community.
NEXT ACTION
Decide what changes in the next session.
During an EdgeCapital evaluation
The evaluation itself is governed by its own published EdgeCapital rules. Preparation, simulated activity and review remain useful, but they do not replace eligibility or the current programme requirements.
